This isn’t just personal training. It’s guided movement, conversation, and coaching—designed to help you grow in strength, clarity, confidence and purpose.

My sessions take place outdoors—sometimes on the beach, sometimes in the woods, sometimes following a trail. Together we train using TRX suspension trainers, kettlebells, callisthenics, and the natural environment. It’s fitness, but it’s more than that.

We set SMART goals to make real progress—whether you're aiming to lose weight, build strength, improve your mental health, or unlock something deeper.

This approach is about helping you reach for your potential. We move the body, yes—but we also use movement as a tool to shift mindset, build confidence, and reconnect to what really matters.

These sessions often feel like equal parts workout and reset. They’re full of banter, challenge, and meaningful chat. My job is to coach you through movement—not just count reps.

About me

Hi, I’m Mike—founder of Machine Like Me, and a coach who believes in movement with meaning.

I haven’t always been fit, grounded or confident. In fact, in my 20s, I was in a dark place. I’d lost direction, struggled with addiction and depression, and had no sense of who I really was. One night, a friend bet me I couldn’t complete the Marathon des Sables—a 160-mile ultramarathon through the Sahara Desert. I was drunk and said yes!

That ridiculous bet changed my life.

It gave me something to work towards. I got fit. I found structure. I completed the race—and I realised that movement was the key to shifting my mind and rebuilding my life.

I left my job as an accountant, retrained as a Personal Trainer, became a Meditation Teacher, and later qualified as a Life Coach. These days, I help others reconnect to themselves—through training, conversation, and purpose.

I don’t claim to have it all figured out. I’m still learning, still evolving, still doing the work. But that’s what I offer: a space where we move, grow, and explore together. Some sessions are sweaty and fun. Some are reflective and deep. Most are both.

Whether you’re coming to me for weight loss, fitness, clarity, or something you can’t quite name yet—you’ll leave feeling better than when you arrived.
